Poeira Comics is back with new releases!
Lizard Brain #0 is here!
Most of the time I am skipping from one of my “brands” to the other, always figuring out which project makes more sense, and when. Since two important dates happened to be very close to each other, in the last weeks I’ve been working hard on Poeira Comics.
This week, my humble city of Belo Horizonte will be hosting its 6th International Comics Festival. Since I’ve been away from the comics scene for a long while, I decided it would be a good comeback to release a new zine with comics by me and other guests.
With an average rate of 1 page per day (usually done after my family has gone to sleep and before the break of dawn) I managed to create a few new comics, and mixed up with old ones I had never printed before, I created the experiment for my new comics zine…
And thus, ladies and gentlemen… Lizard Brain #0 is out!
As you might have read earlier on this blog, “Lizard Brain” is being released in a pretty wild license. Basically, not only can you can download it for free, but you also can print your own copies and sell them for profit! Whatever money you make out of it, it’s yours, and you don’t have to pay us anything.
If you just want to download it and read it on your computer, fine. If you want a printed copy to read while using the toilet, you may either print one copy for yourself, or print many copies and sell the extra ones.
So feel free to download, read, have fun, show to your friends, criticize, whatever.

WARNING: The “printable versions” are intended for printing only! The pages are out of order, so after you print them on both sides of the paper, you can fold the sheets in half and staple the crease to create the magazine format.

The other release will take some time, but it’s an interesting story. Last Saturday I participated on the 24 Hour Comic Day, creating 24 pages of comics in 24 hours or less. It took me 21 hours (from 11am to 8am) to come up with the 24 pages, but I still want to work with them a bit. The version I delivered at the end of the marathon has only text and line drawings, and now I want to add color and textures to them. Anyway, the original version of the comic can be downloaded here. I hope to release the finished version before the end of the year.
That is not all! As we speak, new comic book projects are being developed by me and other fellow artists… Expect some exciting news in the near future!
