Drawing and writing comics is an obsession for me since I was a kid, but I rarely take the time to actually finish a project.
I am currently developing and writing many comics projects at the same time:
- “King Malcolm”, a medieval fantasy wuth cartoony drawings.
- A memoir about my life as a teenager in the 1990s.
- “The Future of War” is a collection of short stories set during World War I but offering a reflection about war as a whole.
- “Marika of the North” is a fantasy series about a woman warrior stranded in a mysterious island.
- “Dr. Unheimlich” is a mix of Freud, Jung and Doctor Strange.
- “Automatic Living” tells the adventures of a robot who is transferred away from a musical instruments factory.
I have co-founded a collective of comics artists at http://www.paperbackers.org/ The Paperbacers project is now defunct due to lack of interest from the participants. I work alone now. Like a silent, deadly ninja hidden in the shadows.
I am currently working on the next issue of my zine “Lizard Brain”.
I am currently working on re-tracing the first chapter of my series “Renegade Seamen of the Submarine Vladivostock” for a local fanzine.
João ‘Abobinable’ Lavieri is re-creating the art for the first chapter of Black Durango. It will be featured on the next edition of Inkshot.
Update: Inkshot was optioned by a famous publishing company in the USA and will be released in late 2010!!
